Delete your AfriSound account
You can request permanent deletion of your AfriSound Listener or Creator account by emailing our account support team.
Write the deletion request
Use the email address registered on your AfriSound account and include:
- Your full name
- Your registered AfriSound email address
- Whether the account is a Listener or Creator account
- A clear statement that you want the account permanently deleted
Send it to AfriSound
Send your request to the following address with the subject “Account Deletion Request”.
Confirm account ownership
For your security, AfriSound may reply with additional verification questions. The request will be processed after account ownership has been confirmed.
What will be deleted
- Your account profile and sign-in access
- Listening history, saved progress, favourites, and follows
- Creator profile and creator content associated with the account, where applicable
- Other personal data that is not required to be retained by law
Data we may retain
AfriSound may retain limited payment, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal records for the period required by applicable law. Retained records will no longer be used to provide the deleted account.
Before sending your request
Account deletion is permanent. You will lose access to your profile and associated account data. If you only need help signing in, contact support instead of requesting deletion.
This procedure applies to AfriSound accounts created on the website, Listener app, and Creator app. Read our Privacy Policy.
